Privacy notice

This is an independent site with no accounts and no data monetisation. Below is exactly what is processed and what is not. Last updated: 2026-09-15.

1. By default everything runs in your browser

The tools are written in browser-side JavaScript. Unless you use the AI assistant or the feedback box, the values and text you enter are never sent to the server, the tools keep working offline, and the server does not record what you calculated. This covers number and date calculations, unit conversion, text processing, encoding and hashing, random values and more.

2. The exceptions: AI assistant and feedback

In the following cases data is sent to this site's server — please be aware before using them:

  • The "did this tool solve your problem?" feedback: submitting sends the tool name, your input, the calculated result and the description you write, so that problems can be located and the tool improved.
  • AI assistant questions and follow-ups: the tool name, your input and the result are sent together with your question in order to generate an answer; follow-up questions include the most recent turns of the conversation. Answers are generated by a third-party large-language-model service, and that text is passed to that service. To control cost there is a per-IP rate limit — when it is reached the page says so honestly, and your feedback is still stored.
  • Rating an answer: tapping "helpful / not helpful" sends the record id of that answer and your choice, stored alongside the answer so answer quality can be measured.

This data is stored in this site's feedback table and used for statistics and to improve the tools. Please do not enter passwords, ID numbers, phone numbers, bank card numbers or other sensitive information in these places. If you would like content you submitted to be deleted, ask through the about page and it will be handled promptly.

3. What is not collected

No registration, login or membership, and no collection of names, phone numbers, ID numbers or addresses. No access to contacts, photos, location or clipboard. Your data is not sold or shared with third parties. No user profiling and no cross-site advertising tracking. The site runs no third-party analytics or ad scripts.

4. Browser storage

A few settings are kept in your browser's localStorage so that preferences stick (for example the light/dark theme, under tb-theme). The "history" that some tools offer, and the notepad, are likewise kept only in your browser and can be cleared from the tool page itself. This data stays on your device, is never uploaded, and disappears when you clear your browser data. Pages may also use server-side and browser caching for speed; cached content contains none of your input.

5. Server logs

Like any website, the server keeps access logs (IP address, time, request path, user agent) in order to diagnose faults and defend against attacks. They are not used to identify individuals or for advertising.

6. Changes to this notice

If a feature change alters how data is handled, this page will be updated and the change noted here. The wider boundaries are set out in the disclaimer, and the nature of the site in about this site.
